Our site is pleased to feature an exceptional achievement highlighting Women's History Month. We are spotlighting Grecia Paola Siono Gutierrez, a student from the University of California San Diego, who has been announced as the 2024 Brooke Owens Fellow.
The fellowship credits extraordinary undergraduate women and gender minorities in aerospace. Grecia is a shining example of the talent and determination women bring to the field of Aerospace Engineering.
Siono Gutierrez, originally from Mexicali, Mexico, is the sixth recipient from the UC San Diego Jacobs School of Engineering in the eight-year history of this prestigious fellowship. A mechanical engineering student, she will be interning at Blue Origin over the summer, working on the lunar transportation team.
Her journey is inspiring, especially considering her initial steps on the UC San Diego campus as a participant in the ENLACE binational summer research program. It was there she discovered her passion for coding and engineering. This remarkable woman's story is making waves in a field dominated by men, and we are thrilled to be celebrating her this Women's History Month.
