The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) has announced an upcoming public open house event to discuss the proposed creation of a connected and automated vehicle (CAV) corridor on Interstate 94 in Wayne and Washtenaw counties.

The innovative project is designed to transform an existing travel lane into a tech-enabled express lane, capable of accommodating regular cars, CAVs, transit, and shared mobility services. The ultimate goal is to improve safety and efficacy for everyone who uses this corridor.

As part of their due diligence, MDOT is conducting an Environmental Assessment to grasp any possible impacts the project could have. The open house event is scheduled for April 2, 2024, and will be held at the Henry Ford Centennial Library in Dearborn, MI. Click the link below to learn more.
