A 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning owner reports an impressive 97% battery health after nearly 93,000 miles reported the website Carscoops Monday.

The Ford F-150 Lightning is an all-electric version of the popular F-Series truck, and it has been making waves in the automotive industry since its debut. With a range of over 300 miles on a single charge and impressive towing capabilities, it's no wonder that this vehicle has gained such popularity.

This robust performance stands as a testament to the resilience and reliability of electric vehicles (EVs), traits not always associated with them. Most interestingly, the battery performance seems to challenge common concerns around long-term durability and high mileage conditions.

The owner, a frequent contributor to the F150LightningForum, shared how meticulous management, including mainly charging at home and avoiding charging extremes, has helped maintain battery health. Despite the high mileage, the truck can still charge to 99% of its original capacity.

This tidbit indeed serves as good news for the EV industry, often scrutinized for performance and battery longevity. However, it's worth noting that this is a single example, and battery health may fluctuate with usage patterns and mileage. Nonetheless, it surely brings a ray of hope for an industry that has been under the microscope recently.
